Introduction | Referring to the yesterday’s announcement dated January 30, 2023, regarding NADEC's intention to introduce its strategic plan 2023-2027. NADEC is pleased to inform its shareholder regarding the development in launch ceremony of its strategic plan 2023-2027 under the slogan (A New Dawn) held on Monday, January 30, 2023, at the Hilton Hotel - Riyadh Granada, under the sponsorship of His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen A. AlFadley. The ceremony was attended by a number of Excellencies and a group of officials, success partners, and company employees were also present. The strategic plan 2023-2027 aims to strengthen the company's leadership position at local and regional levels, by expansion of current business operations, developing new markets, expanding product range and entering into new ventures. NADEC's aims to become a vertically integrated food business and targeting to achieve a 6 billion Saudi riyal revenue by year 2027. To achieve this a comprehensive plan for financial restructuring and increase solvency will be developed to support the company's future operations and the realization of its strategic and operational goals. The following are the primary goals that the company aspires to achieve: 1. Expansion of production and distribution operations, as well as products development, to strengthen NADEC's position and increase its share of the dairy and juice markets in order to generate profit and sustainable growth. 2. Enhancing the agricultural sector and providing high-quality crops to customers by expanding the vegetables and fruits product range, , and promoting contract farming with large and small scale farmers around the Kingdom. 3. Entering into the red meat business, to ensure the highest standards are met throughout the supply chain and provide customers with the right and high-quality products. 4. Pioneering in the production of high-quality seeds, such as potato and wheat seeds. 5. Use clean, green, and sustainable energy. 6. Fostering innovation in the realm of manufacturing development. 7. Focus on efficiency and cost optimization. The significant agreements and memorandums of understanding signed at the ceremony with entities from the government, private and non-profit sector are listed below: 1. The agreement between NADEC Company and Saudi Leha Group, to form a limited liability company jointly controlled by both parties for the production and marketing of high-quality potato seeds in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 2. The agreement between NADEC and Pure Harvest Smart Farms Company, in which NADEC will acquire and promote the company's vegetable and fruit goods, and sell under its brand utilizing its marketing and sales capabilities. 3. A memorandum of understanding between NADEC and the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC) to recycle biowaste. 4. The memorandum of understanding between NADEC and the Olive Producers Association, to establish collaboration in providing consultations to olive farmers while also seeking to enhance quality standards via the use of best practices in production and marketing. Fertilization, irrigation, trimming, plant growth management, immunization, and field visits will all be part of the collaboration. 5. A memorandum of understanding between NADEC and the Agricultural Development Fund to improve agricultural sector performance through cooperative training in agricultural projects. 6. A memorandum of understanding between NADEC and the Institute of Food Industries to prepare and train Saudi cadres in the field of food and animal production. 7. A memorandum of understanding between NADEC and Elion Resources Group to grow vegetation in the desert with the purpose of promoting sustainable agriculture and assisting in the accomplishment of the Saudi Green Initiative goals. 8. A memorandum of understanding between NADEC and MIRACLE TREE LIFE SCIENCE aimed at expanding contract farming 9. A memorandum of understanding between NADEC and the Saudi Food Bank (Etaam), aims to prevent food waste as part of social responsibility. 10. A memorandum of understanding between NADEC and the National Center for Palm and Dates, which intends to utilize dates in manufacturing. 11. A memorandum of understanding between NADEC and the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, with the goal of improving vegetation cover in the Kingdom's regions. |
