Fund Overview
SEDCO Capital REIT is a Sharia compliant closed ended real estate investment traded Fund. The Fund operates in accordance with the Real Estate Investment Funds Regulations issued by the Capital Market Authority, the Fund was listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange and its units were traded in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. The term of the Fund will be 99 years from the date of listing, renewable for a similar period at the discretion of the Fund Manager after obtaining the approval of the Capital Market Authority. The initial capital of the fund was SAR 600,000,000 distributed over 60,000,000 units and the fund increased the total value of its assets on 16/11/2021 so that the Fund capital after the increase becomes SAR 1,175,000,000 distributed over 117,500,000 units the fund also underwent the process of increasing the total value of Its assets for the second time as it was approved by the Capital Market Authority on 09/11/1444 H corresponding to 04/02/2023 G so that the Funds capital after the increase became SAR 1,869,444,440 distributed over 186,944,444 units. The Fund is managed by the Saudi Economic and Development Securities Company SEDCO Capital, a Saudi closed joint stock company specialized in global asset management and investment solutions in accordance with the provisions of Shariah and based on the highest ethical standards, and licensed by the Capital Market Authority as a Capital Market Institution under license No. 11157-37 dated 23/04/1430 H corresponding to 19/4/2009 G. SEDCO Capital is headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and has offices in London, Luxembourg, Riyadh and Dubai. The main activities of the company, according to the license granted to it by the Authority, is dealing, arranging, managing investments, and operating funds, advising and custody. The company investment team includes professionals with various expertise in the fields of global asset management and investment solutions. SEDCO Capital is one of the first Saudi asset management companies that operates in accordance with the provisions of Shariah and adheres to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment UNPRI, which is a principle-based framework aimed at considering the environmental, social and governance factors when investing and analyzing investment risks ESG.
