Saudi Exchange and Muqassa have commenced implementation of a series of enhancements to the Saudi derivatives market, supporting the next phase of market development and activation. The enhancements went into effect on 19 August 2026, and apply to MT30 Index Futures and Single Stock Futures, which are designed to support liquidity, improve market efficiency, and encourage broader participation across both professional and retail market participants. The developments include revisions to the market making framework, reduced trading, clearing, and regulatory fees, and a one-year waiver on futures transactions and final settlement fees. Further fee waivers have been introduced by Muqassa, including waivers related to Additional Segregated Accounts and Give-up/Take-up services. Product enhancements have also been introduced for Single Stock Futures, including pricing updates alongside margin optimization measures to improve capital efficiency and a publicly available margin calculator on Muqassa’s website to support members in understanding margin requirements across all listed derivatives products. As part of this phase, Saudi Exchange has signed agreements with SNB Capital on behalf of multiple Derivatives market makers to support liquidity provision in futures contracts. Participating firms include Corvus, Binevenagh, BLS Futures Ltd, Eighteen Eight Solutions, and MET Traders. Market making activity commenced in August 2026, supporting the initial phase of liquidity provision in the derivatives market.
