(FIPCO) announces that it won first place in the private sector category and received the Excellence Award in Local Content for Large Establishments in the Industrial and Mining Sector from the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA). Whereas local content focuses on raising and maximizing the national purchasing power aimed at building a strong and sustainable economy, and based on FIPCO’s constant keenness to play its role towards society and its contribution to achieving the goals of the wise leadership by raising the proportion of local content in the national economy, and since the local content standard is one of the most prominent standards that is considered In order to evaluate companies, FIPCO has developed a strategic plan and harnessed all available capabilities to increase its local content score. On the other hand, FIPCO’s obtaining a high local content score compared to companies operating in the industrial and mining sector will be significantly reflected on the support of the company’s customers and raising the added value for them, enabling them to benefit from increasing their local content score and granting price preference in government competitions and other advantages. FIPCO was chosen among its competitors in the industrial and mining sector (category of large establishments) to be crowned first place and receive the Excellence Award from (LCGPA) after successfully passing all evaluations and qualification criteria developed by specialized experts and independent arbitrators. This award was presented to Mr. Abdullah Alharbi, the CEO of FIPCO, by His Excellency Mr. Bandar AlKhorayef, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of LCGPA, and Mr. Abdulrahman Alsamari, the CEO of LCGPA, this took place during the ceremony of the Local Content Award held on the evening of Wednesday, Feb.14, 2024. FIPCO will continue to implement and support initiatives that increase its local content score and will save no efforts to ensure that this award becomes an ongoing achievement that FIPCO seeks to obtain annually. |
